The department
Lot is characterized by an hilly landscape. The Roman city of
Cahors is known for its magnificent cathedral, the unique “Pont Valentré” and its “vins noirs”(black wines). There are many old churches, abbeys, museums and caves, of course, to visit. Nearly every village has its own market with local products to buy.
There are many wineyards along the river
Lot and a visit to one of the wine cellars is definitely recommended. In addition, there are beautiful canoeing excursions in the Valley of the
Lot and the Valley of the Celée. Seven kilometres of the camping you find a beautiful lake with all facilities for children.
